Conformity in nest building
My MSc thesis research examines conformity in nest building - whether (and under what conditions) birds will change their nest material preference to match the social group.

Physical cognition
My undergraduate honours thesis research examined how sex differences in nest-building behaviour relate to differences in learning and memory for the structural properties of materials. We expected that male birds, who select and deposit the nest material, would have better learning and memory for material properties than females, who rarely select or deposit nest material. We are currently revising the manuscript from this project.
